Green Climate Fund IPAG 2027–2030: Call for Nominations

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is inviting nominations from Indigenous Peoples’ institutions, bodies, organisations and networks to fill four regional vacancies on its Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group (IPAG) for the 2027–2030 term.

Work Format: Voluntary, non-remunerated; monthly online meetings and two in-person meetings each year

One vacancy is available in each of the following regions:

Latin America and the Caribbean
Pacific

About the Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group

The GCF Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group was established through the Indigenous Peoples Policy to enhance coordination between Indigenous Peoples, the Green Climate Fund and its partners.

IPAG is composed of Indigenous Peoples representatives from regions of developing States where the GCF may fund activities. Members are selected through an Indigenous Peoples-led self-selection process for each region.

For the 2027–2030 term, the GCF Secretariat is seeking nominations to fill one vacancy in each of the four listed regions.

Where no eligible nomination is received from one of the regions, the Secretariat may consider eligible nominations from underrepresented sub-regions or groups, consistent with the advice of IPAG.

Time Commitment and Participation

IPAG members serve on a voluntary, non-remunerated basis.

Where in-person participation is required, travel-related arrangements may be supported in accordance with applicable GCF policies and procedures.

Members can expect to:

Attend two in-person meetings each year
Participate in monthly online meetings
Attend additional online meetings where specific activities require them

The working language of the Green Climate Fund is English.

Nomination Requirements

Indigenous Peoples’ institutions, bodies or organisations submitting nominations should provide the following information:

Name and contact details of the nominating Indigenous Peoples’ institution, body or organisation, including the region for which the nomination is submitted.
Full name and contact details of the nominee, including email and telephone number.
Confirmation from the head or designated focal point of the nominating institution, body or organisation that the nominee is formally nominated or endorsed.
A statement demonstrating how the nominee meets the criteria and factors to be considered for IPAG membership, as outlined in the TORs.
A short CV or biography of the nominee highlighting experience and contributions relevant to Indigenous Peoples’ issues, climate action or related areas.
Endorsements from other Indigenous Peoples’ institutions, bodies or organisations in the respective region are highly encouraged.
