Role Purpose:
Zimbabwe Red Cross Society is a humanitarian organisation whose role is to provide humanitarian services for the alleviation of human suffering in Zimbabwe. In pursuant of this mandate, the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society, in Partnership with British Red Cross, is implementing Climate Resilient Communities and Livelihoods Project (ClRCLe) project in Mwenezi District and looking for contractors for the Installation of 3 solar-powered piped water schemes at the following areas:

Chingenge Borehole 45km from Neshuro in Mwenezi District.
Furatiro Borehole 55km from Neshuro in Mwenezi District.
Bhirishave Borehole 50km from Neshuro in Mwenezi District.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Installation of a solar-powered piped water scheme with all its necessary accessories including all the protective and control equipment that is solar controller, change-over switch, cable connections neatly covered in conduits between pump, controller, solar modules, earthing and lightning protection.
Construction of reinforced concrete foundations to support the solar panel mounting structure and the steel tank stand for elevated water storage tanks.
Installation and construction of the water distribution network in accordance with the approved design and provided drawings.
Installation of palisade fencing for security, adhering to local regulations and design specifications.
Establishment of standpipes at designated points along the water distribution network, ensuring proper disposal of waste water at the points.
Train the local Pump Minders and Pump Mechanics on operations and maintenance of Solarized water points and make sure they are on site when works commence.

Payment of USD 100.00 non-refundable fee on collection of tender documents.
