Ocean Literacy Program 2026: Applications Open for 2nd Edition

The Blue Earth Savers association has announced that applications are open for the second edition of its Ocean Literacy Program, designed to provide young people and other committed stakeholders with comprehensive knowledge of ocean-related issues and opportunities in the blue economy.

The program is organised in partnership with African Youths Sustainable Ocean Campaign (AYSOC ID 215), Centre for Blue Economy Research and Development (CBERD), CIPMA – UNESCO Chair, GGOSSS – An Ocean Sciences Summer School in the Gulf of Guinea, and the #Resilient_Oceans Project.

Participants will gain a better understanding of contemporary ocean issues, explore emerging maritime careers and learn about opportunities within the blue economy.

Format: 100% online
Duration: November 3 to December 11, 2026
Schedule: Tuesdays and Fridays, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM UTC
Languages: French and English

Institutional representatives
NGO members
Engaged citizens

Certificate of Participation

Participants who successfully complete all modules will receive a certificate of participation recognised by CIPMA – UNESCO Chair and GGOSSS (Ocean Sciences Summer School in the Gulf of Guinea).
